Ashok Nirvaan is a development of 51 private villas in Lonavala, a former hill station and now a town located roughly half way between the states 2 major urban centres of Mumbai and Pune.
Lonavala benefits from a significantly cooler climate due to its elevation above making it a desirable get away destination for the denizens of the 2 cities. Gfab were responsible for the master planning, architecture and interior design for the project which is under construction. The villas all offer 4 bedrooms but are set on sites varying from 600m2 to 1500m2.
As one might expect from a site such as this, with complex topography, the project features several different designs of each villa type (total 11 different models) each conceived to follow the topography of the individual site. The buildings share a common language of detail and the pitched roofs (an unusual departure for Gfab) were a pre-requisite of the developer since the neighbouring development by Tata Housing has a flat roof design and they felt that it was important to differentiate the two projects. In addition to the villas and infrastructure, Gfab have designed the clubhouse for the project which sits on the highest point of the site and enjoys panoramic views of the hills surrounding Lonavala.
The building offers a complex mixture of sport and recreational facilities including gym, spa, games rooms, cinema, meeting rooms and dining/lounging option plus of course pools and outdoor activities.
