Holiday home for a Provence based English family on Koh Samui’s west coast.
The site is extremely steep and offers panoramic views to the marine park and the neighbouring islands of Koh Phanyang and Koh Tao.
The design responds to recent planning laws ( which stipulate that a designated percentage of the accommodation must be under a pitched roof ) by proposing a fabric roof made from PTFE; a first in Thailand.
The pool wraps around two sides of the open living area allowing maximum appreciation of the views.
Wherever possible mature trees are maintained and terraces formed on the roofs of rooms on the lower floors in contrast to the sloping site.
